Chelsey Becker is a conceptual artist from Claremore, Oklahoma, but resides in Tulsa. She received her MFA in Studio Art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Becker’s practice derives from her ties to rural cultures, blue-collar work, and philosophy, which has manifested in many art mediums, including photography, sculpture, writing, fiber, artist books, film, and performance. She has been a resident at the Tallgrass Artist Residency in Kansas, awarded the Dr. Judith Temple Scholarship at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and exhibited work in Massachusetts, New York, California, and Arkansas.
